In today’s environment of changing materials and new high tech systems of fabrication, it is even more important to have good communication and understanding between clinician and ceramist. Dr. Frankie Shull and Matt Roberts will discuss how they deliver predictable, functional aesthetic cases utilizing a systematic approach to both communication and the treatment process to interconnect the dental operatory with the dental laboratory providing the best possible results for their patients. New ceramic materials and fabrication techniques will be discussed as well as the influence they have on case planning and preparation design. A discussion of where minimum preparation veneer treatments are appropriate and the related techniques for micro layering lithium disilicate to maximize strength and esthetic outcomes in very thin veneer cases will be presented. With the proliferation of digital impressions and CAD/CAM based products in the marketplace, knowing when to use new technology and when it makes more sense to stay with traditional fabrication techniques are issues facing today’s dental profession, Frankie and Matt will share their experiences of what is working and profitable for them in today’s environment.  We hope you will enjoy the experience.
